IGC AGM & Conference 2010

I am delighted to announce that the Teacher Education Section of the Dept. of Education and Science has indicated that the Guidance Counsellors national in-service day on Friday 5th. March 2010 has been approved for the purposes of paid supervision additional to substitution allocation to schools.
Substitution will only be paid for class based timetabled periods on Friday 5th.March as notified to the DES in schools 2009 October returns.
Guidance Counsellors are requested to indicate on their booking form, their total time-tabled class contact hours for Friday 5th.March for which their schools are eligible to claim substitution cover from DES.

CONFERENCE BOOKINGS
Members will be pleased to know that they will be able to book this year's conference  in Mullingar shortly.  Booking forms, workshop details etc will be posted to members at the end of this week.  The IGC regrets the delay in booking arrangements this year due to delays beyond our control.
Members should return their completed forms and payment as soon as possible.
It's full steam ahead for IGC Conference 2010 Mullingar!!
