Entitled ‘Routes to the Future’, the three day conference will be attended by Guidance Counsellors from post primary schools and adult education centres throughout Ireland.
Guidance Counsellors give an invaluable service to young people enabling and empowering them to mature and make informed choices about their future. The National Conference provides an effective medium through workshops and lectures to support and enhance the work of the Guidance Counsellor.
Recognised by the Department of Education and Skills for provision of continuing professional development education to Guidance Counsellors, the conference has grown over the years and an attendance in excess of 500 guidance Counsellors is expected for this year’s conference.
In addition to keynote speakers and workshop presentations, the conference provides a unique networking opportunity for exhibitors from colleges and industry to meet with Guidance Counsellors.
