How do I become a guidance counsellor?

What are the Guidance Qualifications?

Unless it has both the Guidance & Counselling modules it may not qualify. An application form for full membership may be downloaded from the website and submitted together with the appropriate documentation to support the application. If the application does not meet the criteria for entry the committee will advise and guide applicants towards possibly achieving same.

How do I get information to guidance Counsellors?

1. A magazine called Guideline is produced by the Institute for our members. It is published 5 times per year. Advertisments can be placed in this publication by contacting the editor at fredtuite@eircom.net.

2. Postage labels with members names and addresses can be purchased from the IGC head office; phone 01 6761975

3. The Institute produces an annual Yearbook and Diary which is sent to every Guidance Counsellor. Advertisements can be placed in the Yearbook by contacting AG Education Services on 01 2300620.
