The Kilkenny Conference is now FULL and we can take no more applications. If you did not get a place, please do not turn up at the Hotel on Friday hoping to get a place there is none. For Health and Safety reasons we have to limit the numbers at the venues. There is space to attend the AGM on Saturday though.
Your tickets and booking information have been posted out to you. Please bring them with you to the conference. Your letters and tickets will be scanned to speed up registration so please bring them with you.
If you are delayed or linger at the stands area the conference proceedings will be relayed to the stands and exhibition areas on large screen CCTV. Students will be on hand to lead you to the workshop venues, a short walk away, so think of your shoes and clothes. Please do not go to a workshop you have not been assigned to. Lunch will be at three venues in the hotel with tea and coffee afterwards served in the stands and exhibition area.
Parking is available at a multi-storey car park opposite the hotel (free to those at the conference get your ticket stamped at reception). Alternatively there is parking at McDonagh Junction Shopping Centre (beside the railway station on the Carlow Rd.) at the special rate of €4 per day. There is a ten minute walk from there to the Ormonde Hotel. On street parking is available near the hotel also (so far not paying) but please do not park in Ormonde Street itself as you will get clamped. Try New Street or College Street instead.
There is a change of keynote speaker as Martin Shanahan is unwell. Instead his presentation will be given by Martin Cronin CEO of Forfas. There is a change in speaking order also as the first speaker will now be John McGuinness TD Minister for State at the Department of Trade and Enterprise who will open the conference at 9.00 am on Friday.
Attendance forms will not be given out until after the final speaker of the evening (and you will need these forms to cover your substitution) at which time you will also be given your Lidl bags to send you off happy!
